No crown-of-thorns starfish (COTS) or other corallivores evident.
Comparisons with other data
The nearest independent transect is close but unhelpfully variable: a Reef Check station named Mawan (Sector 2), 0.91 km away, recorded 8.8% hard coral cover in 2020, yet five surveys within 2 km - all from the same year - span 8.8-51%. A near six-fold range inside 2 km in a single season is a warning that sector-level values here cannot be borrowed for a neighboring site, and the 8.8% figure in particular should not be read as this site's cover.

One dive, 15 August 2009, entering at 10:45 for 65 minutes to 21.3 m with the divemaster logged as Inge.
Other notes
The log records the strongest current of the Komodo trip, fish blanketing the reef, and a run-out onto a white sand slope with soft corals. Genuinely coral. No country field is recorded for this site.
