Setting

Orange Grove is in the central sector of Komodo National Park at -8.550, 119.500, off the east side of Komodo Island.

Coral cover

Stressors

No crown-of-thorns starfish (COTS) or other corallivores evident.

Comparisons with other data

A single survey submitted via MERMAID falls within 10 km - TNK08 at 9.88 km, 59% hard coral cover in 2016. At nearly 10 km, in a park where transects a kilometer apart differ several-fold, that figure describes a different reef and is quoted only to show what is and is not available.

Dive record

It was dived on 16 August 2009, mid-way through the August 2009 Komodo trip, to a recorded depth of 25.0 m. No photographs and no in-water survey are attached to this site, so the date and that depth are the whole of the dive record; the map's satellite heat-stress layer has no value for this position either.
